Alex and Carlos met playing soccer together in Escamequita. They became friends and one day Carlos invited Alex to go fishing with him. They realized they had the same connection with the ocean so they decided to work as a team to offer an array of activities. With Alex’s surfing and diving skills and Carlos’ boating skills, they are an unstoppable team!
Meet Capitán Alex!
All around water enthusiast Capitán Alex was also born and raised in Escamequita, Nicaragua. At a young age, Alex was drawn to the ocean because he feels it is his second home. He developed a love for surfing and fishing even though his family’s background was in the agricultural industry. He taught himself how to surf and fish and loves to teach others by offering boat tours and water lessons to guests visiting Nicaragua. He hopes to share his love and mutual respect for the ocean. “We as humans take so much from the ocean and it can provide a lot, but we also have to take care of, protect and respect the ocean.”

Meet CapitánCarlos!
Capitán Carlos, also endearingly called Capitán Chiriola by Alex (meaning Captain Lobster), was born and raised in Ostional, Nicaragua. He is a generational fisherman who grew up fishing from an early age. In Nicaragua, fishing is the second largest industry. While fishing is something Carlos does for a living, he also does it because of his passion for the ocean. He enjoys water sports and activities such as surfing behind the boat and he hopes to share that passion for the ocean with all of his guests.
